The Ceragem R&D was established in 2001 to enhance the technology of the thermal massager. The R&D center has been focusing on the researches and development of home medical devices, the automatic thermal massagers that are ergonomically designed. These days, individuals have been aware of the importance of being healthy. This awareness motivates individuals to be interested in the way of having a long and healthy life. Thus, in order to help them to achieve this goal, all staffs of R&D Center are doing their best to invent the world best thermal massagers and to allow them to take care of their health at their homes.
Ceragem has concentrated on the researches and technological developments to survive in healthcare industries. The leading company in the thermal massage industries in the Republic of Korea, CERAGEM has been recognized as the world best product domestically and internationally. The Ceragem R&D Center has been played significant roles in making positive contributions to the technology innovation since its establishment on July 19, 2000.
The Ceragem R&D Center has carried out the technological development in order to become a general medical equipment venture company. Before the Ceragem R&D Center was established, the Small and Medium Business Administration approved its venture company in April 5, 2000. In September 25, 2001, the laboratory for experiments was certified as a company affiliated research center. The name was changed to Ceragem R&D Center in May 12, 2005. The Ceragem R&D Center moved its location from Cheonan City to Gangnam-gu, Nonhyun-dong, Seoul.
The new location is near headquarter and factory that makes the R&D Center to invent new products more efficiently. In March 2009, R&D Center has expanded and again moved to Jeongchon-ri, Seongeo-eup, Cheonan city, not far from the head quarter. Ceragem has been concentrating on investing in R&D Center, allocating 2 billion won (1.8 million U.S. dollars) every year to attain competitive advantage. In addition, Ceragem has expanded the scale of the R&D Center by recruiting outstanding researchers for the developments of new products. Ceragem has done much collaboration with various universities and research institutes.

- Ceragem R&D Center was certified as UL WTDP(Witness Test Data Program) and CB-TMP (Testing on Manufacturers Premises) laboratory by UL Korea (Underwriters Laboratories Inc.) for the first time in the thermal massager industry in Korea in 2009. Ceragem R&D Center is qualified to obtain the certifications of UL and CB/CE for the medicinal equipment (UL/IEC/EN60601-1) developed and manufactured in Ceragem based on the data performed in the internal laboratory by using the testing equipment with the attendance of the observer.
Ceragem R&D Center passed the strict screening of UL Korea on the each item such as facility, manpower and manual in obtaining the qualification. Passing the UL Korea’s evaluation means that UL Korea officially certified the facilities and the testing equipment of Ceragem R&D Center and the researcher as the same level of the UL Lab.This outcome is the result of that Ceragem has been putting a continuous investment and interest in the R&D field.
